"This award is an important reflection of the southeast as a growth area for technology innovation," said Michael Murdoch, president and CEO of AppRiver. "We are honored to be recognized among the top technology innovators in our region. This recognition for AppRiver speaks to our approach of upholding the highest standard of excellence when it comes to both our technology offerings and our customer relationships."

Their concept of in-the-cloud security solutions was ahead of the curve, providing a lucrative business that has more than doubled each year.
AppRiver's security suite includes e-mail hosting, e-mail security, archiving, encryption and Web protection services. SecureSurf, the newest addition to the AppRiver portfolio, is a best-of-breed, comprehensive and cost-effective Web filtering and malware protection solution. By adding SecureSurf Web protection to its in-the-cloud security suite, AppRiver protects companies from multi-vector blended threats by thoroughly securing every connection to the Internet.
