GDPR Compliance

The GDPR promotes better security practices, as well as increases accountability for those who handle personal data of EU customers.

GDPR Statement

On May 25, 2018, the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) takes effect. GDPR regulates the governance of personal data for European Union (EU) citizens with an emphasis on data security and privacy. While the GDPR applies to companies that operate in the EU, the regulation also is applicable to companies operating outside of the EU if they have any EU customers or maintain the personal data of anyone located within the EU.

Security and data privacy are fundamental cornerstones at AppRiver and we recognize the importance of meeting or exceeding regulatory standards, introducing best security practices and protecting and enforcing data privacy for our customers in the EU and everywhere else. To that end, GDPR readiness is a key priority for AppRiver.

Our internal policies regarding data protection are designed to ensure that your data remains secure and in a compliant state at all times. However, we’re still aware that technologies and regulations evolve over time. Therefore, AppRiver is also constantly evolving our policies and safeguards for our infrastructure and cloud services and is committed to meeting the GDPR requirements by the enforcement date of May 25, 2018.
