|
Launch Shoreline™ 1. Please go to http://customer.appriver.com/public/exglogin.htm and login with your username and password, and then click the Shoreline option button. 2. Once you log into Shoreline, click the Users link. 3. Find the user that you are setting up and click the username. 4. Click the user link at the top of the screen. 5. After clicking the username, a new drop-down menu appears. Please move your mouse (cursor) over the drop-down menu, click Settings, and then Outlook. 6. It only takes five steps to configure the user’s Outlook. First, please make sure that this user meets the minimum system requirements. If they don’t, please update the users PC, and return to this page for the next step. By now, you should have already created a .pst file of the user’s Outlook. If not, please refer to the next step of Export Data, or read the Outlook Configuration Guide that was provided to you by AppRiver. If you have, let’s continue. 7. Please click Open Configuration File. 8. On this page, you see the Exchange.prf file in the middle of the page. Depending if the user is running Outlook 2003 or 2007, there are different steps you need to take. First, make sure that Outlook is closed down and the process Outlook.exe is not running in Task Manager. • Outlook 2003 – Left-click the Exchange.prf file. A window opens and it prompts you to Open, Save, or Cancel. Click Open and preceed to the PRF Verification section. • Outlook 2007 – Download the Exchange.prf file to your PC. You need to save it to a path of your choice. The ideal path is the ROOT of a hard drive. Once you download it, you need to start, run, and enter the command as stated in the above screen capture. 9. You may also enter the information in manually. PRF Verification 1. After you start the .prf file, it will automatically open up Outlook and popup a username password box. 2. You will need to enter the username (full e-mail address) and password. It will run for a second, and then the pop-up window will come back. The e-mail address is already going to be in there, you just need to enter the password again. 3. Now, the Outlook will say “preparing for first use” and open up. It will do its first initial sync with the Hosted Exchange, and when complete, you are ready to import your .pst file. |
